Minimal Weekend Obligations

*Self-scheduling available on a 6-week basis

• 0-4 years of RN Experience = 4 Weekend Shifts

• 4-10 years of RN Experience = 3 Weekend Shifts

• 10-15 years of RN Experience = 2 Weekend Shifts

• 15+ years of RN Experience = No Weekend Shifts

Competitive Salary Structure

• The compensation range for this role is $32.08-$48.73, with actual pay determined by years of licensure.

Additional Pay Incentives

• This role includes a weekend differential of $3.25/hr.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Oncology Acute Care Unit is responsible for safeguarding, enhancing, and restoring health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of nursing licensure. This role involves collaboration with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective care coordination throughout the continuum of care. The RN assesses and addresses physical symptoms, offers psychological support to patients and their families, mentors fellow team members, promotes best practices, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times. The RN operates in units that provide 24/7 care within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan).
  • Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification is required prior to the start date of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience: Prior experience as an RN in a healthcare setting.
  • Other Skills/Knowledge: Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications.
