Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and curate the wine collection at Maü Miami, ensuring a diverse and exceptional selection that aligns with our culinary offerings.
- Provide expert wine pairing recommendations to guests, tailored to their tastes and the unique flavors of our menu.
- Educate and train front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service excellence to enhance guest experiences.
- Manage wine inventory, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and organization of the cellar.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairing menus for special events and tasting experiences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new wine releases, and emerging regions to continuously improve our wine program.
- Conduct wine tastings and educational seminars for both staff and guests to foster wine appreciation.
- Handle procurement and supplier negotiations to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Deliver personalized wine service to guests, upholding the service standards of Maü Miami.
- Assist in maintaining excellence across the beverage program, including cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
- Preferred certification as a Sommelier or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of global wines, including regions, varietals, and production techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with guests and colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in wine service.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiarity with wine cellar management software and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
