Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic Surgical team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical providers, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • RN licensure in the state of Texas or a compact state.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Completion of RN/LVN program leading to licensure.
  • Ability to read and write basic English with the basic skills necessary to understand and transfer physician's orders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • BSN degree.
  • Specialty certification or training in orthopedic surgery.
  • Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
