Job Description

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within the Cardiac Surgical Unit. This position requires strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Support the development and implementation of unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to nursing staff to enhance their performance and engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Alaska as a Registered Nurse.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year applicable experience in a cardiac surgical setting.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS) Certification.
