The Role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support our growing team of US-based, full-stack software engineers working on frontend and backend development using Typescript, React, NextJS, and Node. You'll oversee a team managing complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor full-stack software engineers, fostering collaboration and excellence within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and customers, to plan, execute, and deliver multiple projects efficiently.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding architectural discussions and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Lead initiatives spanning multiple teams, such as major refactoring or adding new product capabilities.
  • Set a high standard for software quality, communication, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer building web applications in a cloud-native environment.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Proven expertise in building complex full-stack systems in a major cloud platform (we use GCP, but AWS experience is also valuable).
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent hiring and mentorship skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry best-practices and tools.
  • A willingness to be hands-on in a fast-paced, productive environment.
  • A proven track record of success in a fast-growing startup.

Estimated Salary: $225,000 - $265,000 USD per year + Equity.

This role requires a commitment to a hybrid work model, with regular office visits expected. Relocation assistance is available for candidates willing to relocate to San Francisco or New York. Travel up to 10% may be required.
