Position Overview:
The Physician Assistant in Urogynecology plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, collaborating closely with physicians to diagnose, treat, and consult on various health conditions. This position is part of a dedicated Specialty Care team, working in both inpatient and outpatient environments. The role requires the ability to function independently or as part of a collaborative treatment team, ensuring seamless patient care across all settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical devices as necessary.
- Educate patients on managing chronic conditions and promoting wellness.
- Engage in a multidisciplinary approach to address complex health issues.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgeries.
- Serve as a referral resource across the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.
- Work in partnership with patients to enhance their health outcomes.
- Utilize Excellian, a comprehensive electronic medical record system, to manage patient information effectively.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant from the NCCPA.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Meet credentialing criteria for hospital privileges, if applicable.
- BLS Tier 3 certification required within 180 days of hire.
- Full-time availability with a flexible clinic and surgical schedule.
- Willingness to work across multiple locations as needed.

Physical Requirements:
