Purpose of the Role:

The successful candidate will lead the affiliate medical department, focusing on strategic planning, talent management, and clinical research.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop Strategic Plans: Work with the Regional Medical Affairs Head to set and execute Medical Affairs strategies for the affiliate, ensuring alignment with global plans.
  • Manage Budget Resources: Plan and manage budget and headcount resources for the affiliate medical department, in collaboration with commercial/finance and HR teams.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with internal stakeholders, including Global and Area Medical Affairs teams, and external stakeholders, such as healthcare personnel and institutions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to applicable company standards, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Lead Medical Team: Provide leadership, line management, and development of the affiliate's medical staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Establish Relationships: Develop professional relationships with external experts, identify qualified local experts for collaborative efforts, and provide medical support.
  • Drive Performance: Provide leadership excellence and an analytical measurement approach to drive optimal Medical Affairs performance.
