Position Summary
This role operates under the general supervision of the Facility Manager, focusing on delivering superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians. The aim is to optimize patient performance and enhance functional quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care
- Interpret physician orders, conduct initial evaluations, and establish treatment plans and functional goals
- Modify treatment goals as necessary throughout the care process
- Document patient status for physicians in compliance with IBJI guidelines
- Determine appropriate discharge timelines and follow-up care
- Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and administrative staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with daily documentation requirements
- Maintain knowledge of billing policies and ethical billing practices
- Keep active state license current by completing required CEUs
- Foster positive relationships with physician teams
- Engage actively in the patient medical team through office visits and communication with case managers
- Participate in IBJI-sponsored programs such as mentoring and community outreach
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to lift over 25 pounds
- Good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting and movement
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Proficient in using a computer for prolonged durations
