Job Title: Mammography/X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography/X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. As a Per Diem Multi-Modality Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Mammographic procedures in a hospital or outpatient-based facility, following established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and perform procedures by positioning patients, preparing contrast media, and selecting the correct exposure factors to produce technically accurate digital and analog images.
  • Ensure optimal technical quality and accuracy of all mammographic examinations according to MQSA, ACR, and FDA quality control requirements.
  • Accurately input data into the RIS by tracking procedure performed and capturing exam and supply charges, resource allocation, and other relevant information.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
  • Obtain all relevant patient information, assess physician's order and/or requisition for completeness, and educate patients on hereditary cancer risk assessment testing.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
  • CT State Radiographer's License required.
  • ARRT (R) & ARRT (M) certifications.
  • Current X-Ray experience required, with Mammography experience preferred.
  • Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures highly preferred.
