Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced art instructor to lead our Discovering Science Through Art course for elementary school students in New York City. As a Togetherhood instructor, you'll have the opportunity to create a positive and memorable experience for your students, helping them develop a passion for art and science.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that meets the needs of your students
  • Develop outcome-based lesson plans that promote learning and creativity
  • Specify the materials needed to run the course successfully
  • Establish a positive and supportive classroom environment
  • Help students understand the value of art and science in their lives
Requirements
  • Experience teaching art to school-age children
  • Ability to create a positive class community and build relationships with students
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage your own classes
  • Passion for teaching and personal development/learning
  • Cooperative and supportive attitude
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond
  • Clean background check and at least two professional references
