About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neurology Step-Down Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, and brain tumors.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Evaluate and revise patient care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum one year of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
