Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of tank and enclosure production. This role involves developing, maintaining, and improving quality systems while coaching, leading, and influencing the quality culture to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all quality and continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency across the company.
  • Guide workgroups to resolve quality issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Develop and manage the quality team to drive quality excellence.
  • Serve as the primary owner of tank and enclosure quality systems and programs.
  • Represent the company during site audits for regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Lead and participate in business-level quality initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team and customers to achieve optimal solutions.
  • Manage and lead the customer complaint process to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform system analyses, establish, and monitor quality indicators to measure performance.
  • Participate in the prevention and resolution of quality issues through technical contributions and team management.
  • Review the effectiveness of corrective measures to ensure quality excellence.
  • Establish leading and lagging quality KPIs and develop Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics to drive improvement.
  • Drive improvements in standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of manufacturing, assembly, and integration.
  • Work with the operations team to enhance welding processes where certified welding is required.
  • Establish monthly customer conference calls to address quality and field service issues.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 10+ years of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities in managing teams.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Previous management experience in quality assurance.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with quality systems and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analytical processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
