Auto Body Technician Job Description

Classic Collision is a rapidly growing company that offers quality service to its customers with integrity and honesty. We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess damage to vehicles and prepare a 100% Repair Plan
  • Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
  • Plan work procedures and follow work orders for all operations
  • Remove and repair damaged body parts, including welding and painting
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welders and sanders
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicles over to the Paint Department
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred
  • 2-3 years' collision repair experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License Required
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information

Physical & Environmental:

The employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk occasionally for long periods at a time. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands, arms and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
