We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant II to join our team at Trane Technologies in Hastings, NE. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for assisting in all accounting activities, including compliance, daily GL maintenance tasks, month-end closing procedures, and analysis of monthly results.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform daily GL maintenance tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of closing entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial management or in financial accounting.
- Manufacturing plant experience a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
