Position Overview
MTS Systems is in search of a Senior Accounting Specialist who possesses exceptional attention to detail, is adept at problem-solving, and demonstrates a proactive and collaborative team spirit.

This role is integral to our accounting department and involves a variety of responsibilities, primarily focusing on sales and use tax functions along with general accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Timely and accurate preparation of sales tax reports.
2. Maintenance of tax documentation, including notices, records, and returns for effective record-keeping.
3. Management of business licenses and relevant compliance documentation.
4. Assurance of adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act requirements.
5. Active involvement in the month-end closing process, including journal entry preparation and resolution of discrepancies.
6. Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts.
7. Preparation of documentation to support both external and internal audits.
8. Collaboration across departments for assigned responsibilities and projects.
9. Support for internal and external audits and reviews.
10. Execution of additional accounting or analytical projects as required.
