Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team at New Wave Security Solutions. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned buildings, facilities, and perimeters on foot or by a patrol vehicle to prevent illegal or inappropriate actions.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients and their employees to keep them informed of current policies and company rules.
  • Monitor alarm systems and video surveillance systems when an assigned site is permitted.
  • Investigate and respond to suspicious activities and disturbances, and inform the client and security management timely.
  • Lock buildings, businesses, and other designated areas per the clients' needs.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers if needed, and according to SOP.
  • Must be proficient in de-escalating techniques, self-defense tactics, verbal judo, etc.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
  • Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
  • Must be able to keep a positive attitude at all times while in uniform and on job sites.
  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
  • Able to coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies during emergencies.
Requirements
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • The ability to stand for long periods, work in any weather, and sit, bend, and lift to 40 pounds, if not more, depends on the situation.

Work Environment

Salary: $20.50 - $23.00 per hour DOE
