Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner, preparing images for review, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning patients, and administering contrast media as needed.
  • Operate the MRI scanner, adjusting settings and parameters to ensure high-quality images.
  • Review and analyze images to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Communicate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient exams and results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Recent, up to one year, hospital-related experience.
  • Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience.
  • MRI certified by ARRT (or must become certified within first year of employment).
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and TJC Standards.
  • Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to establish access to vein for purpose of giving IV contrast.
  • Knowledge of basic medical equipment (i.e. O2 Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines, etc.).
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
