About the RoleAmergis is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention and management of athletic-related injuries and illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site athletic and physical training, post-injury care, and rehabilitative care to clients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive injury prevention programs, including the creation of alternative fitness programs.
- Conduct initial assessments of injuries or illnesses to provide emergency or continued care and determine whether clients should be referred to physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
- Apply protective or injury preventive devices, such as tape, bandages, or braces, to body parts.
- Assess and report the progress of recovering patients to appropriate healthcare professionals and/or individuals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for injuries.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as keeping records or writing reports.
- Plan or implement comprehensive injury or illness prevention programs.
- Instruct coaches, athletes, parents, medical personnel, or community members in the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
- Conduct biomechanical assessments, worksite evaluations, individual and group interactions with the intent of reducing injuries.
- State Athletic Training licensure, certification, and/or registration (as applicable by state).
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
- Minimum of three (3) years athletic training experience preferred.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required.
- Computer proficiency required.
