Cosmetic Reconditioning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our reconditioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.

• Execute standardized work processes to complete cosmetic inspections, final quality inspections, and vehicle cleaning, paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing according to CarMax standards.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with the team to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Provide training and guidance to new associates on reconditioning processes and procedures.
• Identify defects and recommend repair methods to ensure vehicles meet CarMax standards.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot to facilitate reconditioning and delivery processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external customers.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to perform manual tasks at a specific pace for a specific period of time.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role requires working in an indoor and outdoor environment, with occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions. You will be required to wear CarMax-provided clothing and follow all CarMax, OSHA, and EPA standards.
