Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Physical Rehabilitation Network. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes and promoting the health and wellness of youth athletes in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Rehabilitate Athletic Injuries: Provide expert care to athletes with various injuries, including sprains, strains, and concussions.
  • Provide On-Site Coverage: Cover practices and events for local high schools, ensuring athletes receive prompt and effective care.
  • Develop Professional Relationships: Foster strong relationships with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborate with PTs: Work closely with physical therapists to treat sports-specific conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Refer Cases: Refer cases requiring surgical intervention to physicians and manage concussion testing as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Injury Prevention Programs: Develop and implement injury prevention programs to educate athletes on proper techniques and strategies to prevent injuries.
  • Isokinetic Testing: Utilize isokinetic testing to assess and improve athletic performance.
  • Research Studies: Participate in research studies to advance the field of sports medicine and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • BOC Certification: Possess current BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification: Hold current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
  • Wyoming Licensure Eligibility: Meet the eligibility requirements for Wyoming licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Strong Organization and Documentation Skills: Possess excellent organization and documentation skills to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Effective Decision-Making and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong decision-making and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Athletic Trainer System Documentation: Knowledge of Athletic Trainer System documentation.
  • Certification in Performance Training: Certification in performance training.
  • Experience with ImPact Testing: Experience with ImPact testing.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
