Job Summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our Service & National Accounts Group. As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch electrical services to our customers, ensuring their electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Installations: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
  • System Troubleshooting: Inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using test devices.
  • Customer Support: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Travel Requirements: This position will require 50% travel locally.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience working in the commercial electrical service industry.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Reliable transportation is required.
  • Skills: Excellent working knowledge of all electrical tools, including testing equipment. Good working knowledge of smart devices and comfortable using multiple web-based applications.
  • Physical Abilities: Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period. Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyman's License: Possess a journeyman's license or equivalent in the appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Relevant Certifications: Any other relevant certifications, such as Lift and Ariel Training, NFPA 70E, or OSHA 30.
