Tank Engineer

Vitro, a leading manufacturer of architectural and automotive glass, is seeking a skilled Tank Engineer to join their team at multiple locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the batching, melting, and forming operations in the Tank Department, ensuring compliance with established operating parameters and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of float glass batch, melting, and forming processes, as well as excellent leadership and administrative skills.

• Direct the batching, melting, and forming operations in the Tank Department
• Ensure compliance with established operating parameters and procedures
• Develop and implement new methods and changes to equipment to improve efficiency and quality
• Coordinate the efficient scheduling of manpower within the assigned area of the unit
• Administer a positive training and safety program to ensure maximum performance

• Bachelor's degree in ceramic or chemical engineering
• Minimum of two years' experience in production or process engineering
• Strong knowledge of float glass batch, melting, and forming processes
• Excellent leadership, judgment, and administrative skills
