Position Overview: We are currently looking for a committed Director of Medical Services to manage our medical operations and offer leadership and guidance to our healthcare team in the Wellsboro, PA area. The Director will be instrumental in ensuring the provision of outstanding patient care while adhering to regulatory standards and fostering a culture of excellence. This role offers a full-time schedule with flexible shifts and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the medical team, including physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement policies, protocols, and procedures to guarantee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based medical care in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with department managers, nursing leadership, and other stakeholders to optimize patient flow, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between medical staff and hospital administration, representing the interests of the medical staff and advocating for necessary resources and support.
  • Offer medical consultation and guidance to healthcare providers regarding complex patient cases, clinical protocols, and treatment options.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance evaluation processes to monitor and enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in medical practice and technology, incorporating best practices into clinical operations.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning among medical staff and other healthcare team members.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must be BC/BE ABEM, ABFP, ABIM, and AOBEM with ED experience.
  • Current licensure as a physician in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in acute care management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
  • Willingness to work a full-time schedule with flexible shifts, including 12-hour shifts with flexibility.
