Job Title: Bridge Superintendent

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Superintendent to join their team in Springfield, IL.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in heavy civil construction to oversee the construction of bridges and other infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-job meetings and review project scopes with the Project Manager and Area Manager
  • Set up job sites and review union contracts prior to starting work
  • Communicate with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners to ensure smooth project execution
  • Supervise on-site employees and ensure that all work is completed according to specifications
  • Manage local union relationships and ensure compliance with EEO requirements
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily timesheets and diary notes
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bridge Superintendent or in a related field
  • GED or High School Diploma
