This role acts as a pivotal management support to the Plasma Center Manager, encompassing oversight of daily operations and staff management. Responsibilities include:

  • Indirectly supervising and motivating employees while observing operational processes and addressing any concerns.
  • Preparing and reporting on weekly shipments, alongside managing essential records and reports.
  • Assisting the Center Manager in staff oversight, counseling, and motivation by planning staffing levels and directing daily operations to achieve organizational goals.
  • Identifying and nurturing potential candidates for advancement within the organization.

Effective communication with both staff and customers regarding the Center's objectives, policies, and programs is essential. Maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive materials and issues is a critical responsibility.

Daily monitoring of all functions in collaboration with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with regulations is required. This includes performing quality control checks and assisting in operational audits as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Managing the procurement of necessary center materials or supplies as needed.
  • Reporting operational analysis to corporate offices on a scheduled basis.
  • Supporting budget preparation by projecting production figures and expenses.
  • Researching data requests from regional management.
  • Instructing staff on changes to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring adherence.

Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of two years of college coursework in business administration or biological sciences is preferred. Relevant military training may be considered.

Experience: Six months to one year in a similar operational role, with one to two years of supervisory experience preferred. Completion of a management trainee program is advantageous.

Essential Skills: Certification in phlebotomy or medical reception is encouraged. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, supervisory capabilities, and a foundational understanding of accounting and budgeting. The ability to analyze production and budget data is essential.

Working Conditions: This position requires both office-based tasks and active engagement within the center, including lifting and carrying materials as needed. Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate with various stakeholders is crucial.
