Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Computer Technology courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and be able to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including those in the Computer Networking Specialization. They will also be expected to submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilize a course syllabus, and meet with students to discuss their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher in an IT or IT related field and either 3 years nonteaching work experience in the field or industry certifications(s) related to the course
