ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Our team of operational experts focuses on process efficiency to deliver a consistent experience for our guests. We ensure that products are properly set, in-stock, accurately priced, and well-signed throughout the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team oversees inbound and outbound logistics, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and promotional signage for all General Merchandise areas. This team also manages Food & Beverage and Food Service, ensuring a fresh and safe experience for our guests. Our experts facilitate efficient delivery by overseeing pick, pack, and ship fulfillment tasks.

As an Inbound Specialist, you will gain valuable experiences that contribute to your career development:

  • Understanding guest service fundamentals and supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
  • Gaining experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process optimization.
  • Executing daily and weekly tasks to support business objectives and achieve sales targets.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere by genuinely greeting all guests.
  • Observing guest behavior to assess their needs and tailor your approach accordingly.
  • Engaging with guests in a sincere manner, asking questions to better understand their specific requirements.
  • Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to assist guests effectively.
  • Expressing gratitude to guests and ensuring they feel valued for choosing to shop with us.
  • Executing precise and efficient sorting operations in accordance with unloading schedules.
  • Stocking and organizing products on the sales floor.
  • Maintaining inventory levels for General Merchandise categories.
  • Operating power equipment only if certified and collaborating with leadership for any necessary certifications.
  • Working with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Managing defective items and handling environmentally sensitive materials in compliance with regulations.
  • Promoting a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Working safely at all times, identifying and correcting hazards, and adhering to safety policies.
  • Supporting guest services such as backup cashier duties and order pickups while maintaining compliance with relevant laws.
  • Performing additional duties as required by business needs.
