We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care across the age continuum, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room operations.
- Supervise and direct ancillary staff in the operating room and central processing, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and cost-effective operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing with current and valid licensure with the Texas State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the Operating Room or other critical care-nursing environment.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and accrediting body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with additional languages preferred.
- Computer literacy with basic fundamental computer skills required.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
