About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in the Philadelphia area. As a key member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with architects and other professionals to develop innovative design solutions for building projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems for buildings, integrating architectural design and adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Evaluate engineering design requirements and create drawings to support construction projects.
  • Perform engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and systems research, laying out components, and calculating program and building areas.
  • Assess site conditions, including zoning requirements and constraints, conducting site surveys and field reviews to accurately document existing and new construction conditions.
  • Interpret technical information and synthesize it to write engineering specifications for Project Manuals.
  • Review project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project documents, jurisdictional codes, and quality control standards.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, MEP, and electrical systems design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and experience with multiple building types.
  • Familiarity with architectural design concepts and building codes is essential.
  • Experience working closely with architects on building projects.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary education program.
  • Registration with a relevant professional engineering association.
Required Experience:

7-10 years of project work experience. Salary range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. Candidates with more experience may be eligible for higher salary and open to negotiations.

This is a local position, and attendance at client meetings and site visits is required. However, the rest of the time you can choose to work in the local office or from home as your primary workplace.
