Job Summary

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Control Engineer to join our team in Detroit, MI. As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for programming Allen Bradley PLCs and supporting the production line for general assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming and Troubleshooting: Develop and implement control systems for manufacturing processes, troubleshoot and debug PLCs, and ensure efficient operation of production lines.
  • Project Management: Manage new program implementation, execution, and delivery to meet program timing milestones.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with customers, plants, and senior management to provide project report outs and technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.
  • Design and Troubleshooting: Design and troubleshoot electrical controls systems, and work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a controls engineer working with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience working with HMIs (Siemens) and troubleshooting and debugging PLCs.
  • Experience with beckhoff motion controllers or TwinCat, robotic programming (Fanuc Kuka ABB), and Ethernet and/or Devicenet networks.
  • Ability to program Allen Bradley from scratch and experience with Eplan.
  • GCCH-1 Certification and GCCS-2 Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Automotive and General Assembly.
  • Previous GM Experience and knowledge of GM standards.
