Restaurant Operations Manager

Fulfill the role of a dedicated Restaurant Assistant Manager at Firehouse Subs 116. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitable operation of the restaurant while adhering to company guidelines and regulations.

The Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will ensure the restaurant's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, health regulations, labor laws, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA, and other required regulations. You'll also provide leadership to your team, maintaining superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness standards while promoting our unique culture of a cheerful and fun work environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs policies and procedures
- Provide leadership to the restaurant team to meet standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness
- Ensure profitability by operating within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllable expenses, utilities, and sales growth
- Coordinate and implement current operations game plans and company initiatives
- Be accountable for proper staffing and employee development
- Continuously train and develop high-performing team members
- Maintain accurate programs, reports, and legal documents on schedule
- Grow and maintain catering clientele through assertive, professional, and sales-oriented approaches
- Interpret data to optimize staffing for peak and off-peak hours
- Implement strategies to increase revenue
- Order and maintain inventory
- Engage in community affairs to capitalize on sales and public relations opportunities
- Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional manner always
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner on issues impacting the business
- Maintain equipment in full working order and report problems immediately
Requirements
- Possess a positive attitude; ready to manage teams and serve customers with a smile
- Multitask and possess organizational skills
- Hire, train, and motivate a high-performance team
- Understand and manage food and labor costs
- Operate a restaurant at maximum profitability using Profit and Loss Statements
- Be computer-savvy and advanced in Microsoft Office Suite
- Work flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends)
- Have an active SERV Safe Manager certification or obtain it within 30 days of hiring
- At least 5 years of restaurant management experience
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Budget and forecasting skills required
- Excellent customer service skills
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 based on location and experience.
