Job Summary:

The Computed Tomography Technologist performs complex CT procedures, utilizing professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical history. They prepare and review the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire, identify and administer contrast media, and verify patient prescriptions. This role requires a thorough knowledge of PACS systems, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to maintain CEU credits and achieve ARRT certification within 12 months of hire date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex CT procedures, utilizing professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical history.
  • Prepares and reviews the accuracy of the contrast questionnaire, identifying and administering contrast media as prescribed.
  • Verifies patient prescriptions, communicating with radiologists and referring physicians as necessary.
  • Maintains CEU credits and achieves ARRT certification within 12 months of hire date.
  • Utilizes PACS systems to ensure radiographs contain proper identification and are of diagnostic value.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six months CT experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital.
Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
