We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room RN to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will deliver exceptional patient care in our fast-paced emergency room, treating everything from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually
- Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, while being patient-focused and safety-aware at all times
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in the state of Alaska
- Associate Degree
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric (ENPC)
- TNCC
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) optional
