Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing delicious meals for various events and functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
- Preparing, portioning, and cooking food items for various meal periods or special events
- Following basic recipes and production information
- Ensuring great presentation by dressing dishes before serving
- Maintaining a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Storing food and other items properly
- Following all company HACCP and safety policies
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Demands
The Banquet Cook will be required to:
- Walk and move frequently
- Reach, bend, stoop, push/pull, and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
