About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Butterworth Hospital. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from surgery, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify potential complications and take proactive steps to prevent them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan
  • 2+ years of experience in a PACU, ICU, or ED setting
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months
