At Charm City Therapy, we are seeking a talented Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. This full-time or part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with communication disorders.

About the Position

This position is ideal for a highly motivated and compassionate SLP who is passionate about supporting the development of children's speech and language skills. As a Clinic-Based Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children from birth to 21.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate child's speech and language abilities, including receptive and expressive language skills, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic language skills. Administer standardized tests, conduct informal observations, and collect relevant information from teachers and parents to determine child's communication strengths and areas of need.
  • Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop long and short-term therapeutic goals. Design and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and therapy activities to address speech and language disorders, promote functional communication, and support academic achievement.
  • Therapy and Intervention: Provide direct therapy services individually to each child. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and resources, including articulation strategies, language games, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and social skills training, to support child's communication development.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with team members to integrate speech and language goals into child's daily life. Provide consultation and training to caregivers regarding accommodations, modifications, and effective communication strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor students' progress towards IEP goals through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, educators, and other professionals.
  • Proficiency in conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy.

Location and Schedule

This position is based in Baltimore, MD, and requires regular attendance at our clinic location. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours required.
