Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description

Perpetual Labor Sourcing is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Layout, measure, and mark sheet metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Support the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, fittings, and architectural elements.
  • Install sheet metal systems, such as HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain and repair existing sheet metal systems as needed.
  • Handle and transport sheet metal materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate any challenges or issues to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
