Job OverviewThis position involves working under the supervision of our office manager, clinical lead, and physicians. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care for assigned patients. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide hands-on clinical care, including manual vitals, medication review, injections, NSTs, and blood draws.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately complete all required clinical documentation consistently, maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Ensure timely completion of point-of-care testing, medication logs, and annual wellness visits.
- Provide patient education as needed, teaching patients about prescribed medications and explaining their importance in overall care. Follow up with patients regarding lab calls, prescription fills, referrals, and appointment scheduling.
- Ensure proper reimbursement from insurance companies by performing pre-authorization for prescription drugs, procedures, and patient tests.
- Cultivate trusting relationships with our multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participate in team meetings as assigned.
- Answer phone calls from patients, pharmacies, physicians, vendors, etc., by close of business. Communicate lab/pathology results and schedules additional tests per provider order.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Virginia.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Nursing experience (required).
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
