The Medicus Firm is seeking a distinguished Chief of Nephrology to lead our Division in Mobile, Alabama.

About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity that requires a strong record of clinical and academic leadership in nephrology. The new Chief will have a distinguished academic career, including a leadership role within a multifaceted academic department of internal medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain clinical practice in nephrology with a focus on providing exceptional patient care
  • Support education of internal medicine residents and medical students through mentorship and teaching
  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical service responsibilities around nephrology
  • Recruit and retain high-caliber faculty and staff
  • Proactively seek entrepreneurial opportunities for the division
Qualifications
  • A MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
  • Exceptional leadership record at a top-ranked medical school, academic health center, or health system
  • Demonstrated personal and professional commitment to valuing diversity and promoting inclusion
  • An entrepreneurial, collaborative, creative, and driven spirit
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $350,000 - $450,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
