Occupational Health Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at ProgressiveHealth. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting our on-site occupational health and wellness services in a large manufacturing facility in Canton, MS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid treatment to employees for work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Offer early intervention and ergonomic support to reduce worker discomforts
  • Perform pre-placement physical examinations, including drug screens, hearing, and FIT testing
  • Administer prevention measures such as flu shot clinics, vaccines, and heat stress management
  • Support case management processes
  • Provide health advice, education, and support for chronic disease management
  • Lead or participate in wellness activities, such as health fairs and blood pressure checks
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to injury reports and treatment notes
  • Support the safety team as needed
Requirements:
  • Active LPN licensure or ability to obtain licensure
  • CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain prior to start of employment
  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations (preferred)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout assigned shift
  • Previous occupational health experience (a plus)
  • High degree of professionalism in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications
