Job Title: Behavioral Health Team Lead - Forensic North

At Gracepoint, we are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Behavioral Health Team Lead to join our Forensic North team. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct care to individuals with behavioral health needs, observing and monitoring their behavior, supporting their activities of daily living, and leading activity groups and community meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients according to program policies and procedures
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a therapeutic environment
  • Maintain safety and security of the unit, including patients, staff, and visitors
  • Accurately and timely complete required patient documentation
  • Manage and organize the continuous workflow of the unit and workspace, including cleanliness of the environment
  • Provide appropriate nutrition based on patients' dietary needs, as directed by the dietician
  • Supervise other Behavioral Health Techs and their responsibilities, including organizing and assigning tasks, providing orientation to new staff, and assisting with tech-related issues on the unit

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in the mental health field or healthcare setting preferred
  • BHT certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with individuals served, co-workers, and visitors
  • Leadership skills
  • Reliable source of transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance (if driving on the job)

Work Environment:

Inpatient behavioral health care setting, fast-paced team approach, multi-tasking, and above-average time management skills required.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, local, and company-maintained standards of compliance, ethics, and policies concerned with the administration and delivery of agency services
  • Meet deadlines, requirements, and expectations as established by the supervisor, agency, and department
  • Complete administrative functions and data entry timely and accurately
