Optical Expert

We are seeking a skilled Optical Expert to join our team at LensCrafters. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.

• Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support.
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, driving solutions-driven results.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, helping to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Embracing new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
