About the Role
Southern States Cooperative is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring sales readiness and providing excellent customer support at our service and cooperative locations.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain regular communication with store leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
• Receive and process merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy and inspecting items for damage or defects
• Safely operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, front-end loaders, and pallet jacks, to move merchandise throughout the warehouse
• Perform showroom replenishment, restocking shelves and displays to ensure an attractive and well-maintained retail environment
• Assist with taking physical inventory, counting and verifying accuracy of delivery, and reporting any discrepancies to supervisor
• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent theft and ensure store security, safety, and minimize merchandise loss

Requirements
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Previous experience in a warehouse handling inventory and operating industrial equipment preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, supervisors, and colleagues
• Ability to learn and understand safety procedures, quality control measures, and operating instructions
• Physical stamina to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
