Job Description:

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist experienced electricians in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. Your tasks will include measuring, cutting, and bending wires and conduit, as well as assisting with lifting, positioning, and fastening objects. You will also perform minor repairs, maintain tools and equipment, and keep supplies and parts in order.

Job Performance Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must be able to read, write, and understand English, be at least 18 years old, and have a valid driver's license. You will also be required to comply with safety standards and pass a drug and alcohol test. Additionally, you must have your own hand tools and be able to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist electricians in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
  • Measure, cut, and bend wires and conduit
  • Assist with lifting, positioning, and fastening objects
  • Perform minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches
  • Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order

Physical Demands:

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be required to work easily and skillfully with your hands, climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and vessels, and see well (naturally or with correction). You will also be required to reach for, handle, and grasp wires, conduit, and hand tools, bend, crouch, and work in small places, and lift and carry objects related to performing the job task.
