Job Title: Per Diem CNA

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Per Diem Float Pool team in Boston, Massachusetts.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate CNA to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Per Diem CNA, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect care for patients, including assisting RNs with clinical tasks and responding to patient and family needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Monitor patients remotely using continuous virtual monitoring systems.
  • Make patient assignments for the continuous virtual monitoring staff and identify when patient assignments may need to change.
  • Communicate effectively with Nurse Administrators regarding patients on continuous virtual monitoring.
  • Attend non-emergent central line placements as an observer to ensure sterile technique.
  • Recognize breaks in sterile technique and communicate with the physician placing the line.
  • Document and attest to observing sterile technique for central line placement in EPIC.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate experience required.
  • Nursing student with completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab) preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
