Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Angiogram Specialist, you will be responsible for providing patient services using imaging modalities and performing a variety of angio interventional procedures on patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
  • Provide compassionate service and treat coworkers with respect and appreciation.
  • Identify the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition and make accommodations for such differences.
  • Consistently select correct technical factors relative to the requirements of the study and the patient's age and body habitus.
  • Process radiographic images properly, utilizing automated equipment.
  • Use proper sterile technique and operate imaging computer properly and in accordance with department protocols.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and consistently use ancillary equipment properly.
  • Position patients accurately relative to the requirements of the study as stated in the department protocols.
  • Recognize patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiate life support measures.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a staff technologist in Interventional Radiology or successful completion of the department angiography interventional training program.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate of advanced qualification: ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
  • Venipuncture Certificate
  • Additional training in the use and practices of angiography interventional procedures
Work Environment

This position may require float to another location based on department needs. Shift hours and/or location may vary based on operational needs.

30-minute report time when called into work. Rotational afterhours, weekend, and holiday standby-on call.
