Job Summary

Colusa Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as a Network Administrator. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement computer networks (intranet, Internet, FTP servers, web mail, etc.) to ensure effective and efficient running of the network.
    • Install client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
  • Network Operations and Maintenance
    • Maintain network operations and software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance.
    • Supervise the administration of systems and servers related to the network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    • Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
    • Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
  • Project Management and Administration
    • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
    • Assist with technology planning through ongoing research and analysis.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or 3 or more years' experience in network administration. A strong background in integrated hospital systems, network security, and project management methodologies is required. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The position requires the ability to be on call 24/7 for any technical support needs. The candidate should have a strong understanding of technical manuals, procedural documentation, and healthcare guides, as well as the ability to translate technical terminology for non-technical audiences.

Certifications such as MCP, CCNA, and MCSE are desired but not required.
