Cybersecurity Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at the City of Edinburg. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our city's private and public networks from security incidents.

• Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify potential security threats
• Implement and maintain security software and systems to prevent cyber attacks
• Investigate and document security incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with the Cyber Security Officer to develop and recommend policies, procedures, and standards for information security
• Provide technical support to staff and management to ensure the security of our city's IT systems

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
• Three years' experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role within the field of information security
• Proven track record of conducting cybersecurity assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and provide practical solutions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city's expense
• Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record

• Competitive pay of $22.73/hr
