Job Overview

Join the VitalPath team as a Production Team Leader

In this role, you will operate with minimal supervision, overseeing the assembly team responsible for integrating essential components, utilizing tools and machinery, conducting inspections of in-process items, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity in all products. You will serve as a role model for effective manufacturing practices, compliance with established processes, and will communicate any issues, such as non-conformance, to the Shift Supervisor.

Work Schedule:

  • First Shift: Monday - Friday - 6am-2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on-the-job training as needed and guide a team
    • Request and verify materials for the team
    • Assist in the manufacturing of components and troubleshoot as necessary
    • Ensure all materials are returned upon project completion
  • Uphold Quality Standards – ensure 100% compliance with manufacturing process requirements, including daily inspections and documentation control
    • Participate in root cause analysis for nonconforming products and assist with supplier corrective actions as assigned
    • Ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), including proper labeling and documentation
    • Conduct daily in-process inspections
  • Collect and relay data to the Shift Supervisor while actively participating in manufacturing activities 75% of the time
  • Proactively seek work when necessary and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, collaborating with the Shift Supervisor
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience and/or training
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the medical device industry within a clean room environment
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings and foster collaboration
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and documentation practices
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs, working with a microscope, and sitting for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and cGMP guidelines
  • Understanding of basic blueprints and specifications
  • General math skills, including metric conversions
