Job Title: Sheetmetal Tech Senior

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Sheetmetal Tech Senior to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely laying out, fabricating, and installing parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use complex schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions to perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation.
  • Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.
  • Mentor and train Sheetmetal Technicians, reviewing their work to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Oversee projects and assess requirements to procure necessary materials and documentation.
  • Operate shop equipment, such as brakes, presses, and riveting equipment, to shape and form complex angles and configurations.
  • Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Conduct monthly 5S audits and use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes, including forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching, cutting, riveting, filing, and dimpling.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
  • Valid driver's license to operate towing and other Gulfstream transportation equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes and work any shift.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and experience working with Microsoft Office suite.
Working Conditions:

Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
